Job Description
  • Reporting to the Deputy Medical Director, this role has responsibility for ensuring the capturing of high quality images according to Medicaid protocols for the Imaging services and in satisfaction of the requests from referring physicians and clients/patients
  • Demonstrable proficiency and experience in ultra-sound scanning services is mandatory.
  • Ensure X-ray rooms and equipment are prepared for what ever examinations are booked
  • Check patient's identity and examination required ensuring all examinations are justified and optimized;
  • Check L.M.P. form and retain in folder;
  • Check that patient has received the appropriate preparation;
  • Explain procedure and give reassurance where needed
  • Explain delays, if any;
  • Ensure that adequate information is to hand to enable optimum application of procedures;
  • Monitor & Operate all equipment, as required;
Knowledge/Skills/Experience
  • A Good University Degree in Radiography
  • At least 5 years experience post qualification in a top notch Radio Diagnostic Centre
  • Demonstrable proficiency and experience in Ultra-Sound Scanning is mandatory
  • Outstanding interpersonal and influencing skills;
  • A good team player
  • Above average computer skills with proficiency with MS packages - Word & Excel.
Desirable:
  • Previous relevant leadership of a Radiography Department.
