Location: Lagos

Job Description

• KASI Healthcare is looking for a Locum Consultant Otolaryngologist with special interest in Laser Surgery to join our cohesive and enthusiastic team of consultants in diverse area of medicine.
• The contract will be for 3 PA’s per week. Six hours (6hrs) for Each PA

Essential job functions include but are not limited to:

• The otolaryngologist is responsible in receiving patients with certain disabilities relating to ear, nose and throat. Ultimately, he will examine patients and performs various physical tests or procedure in order to determine their health problem.
• He will also be responsible in diagnosing diseases or injuries of the ear, nose, throat, pharynx, sinuses, larynx, thyroid, oral cavity, salivary glands and esophagus. Diseases including viral, yeast infections or bacterial infections and also tonsillitis common in children which he will attend to on daily basis.
• He will examine affected organs with the use of equipment such as x-ray machines, fluoroscopes, microscopes, nasoscopes, prisms, and audiometers to determine the nature and severity of the disorder, and prescribe medications or conduct surgery.
• He will also perform tests to find out the severity of hearing or speech loss due to diseases or injuries; perform reconstructive surgery to treat birth defects; remove benign and malignant tumors of the face and neck; install cochlear implants; and treat sleep disorders.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess MBBS, FWACS or its equivalent.
• Candidates most have a Fellowship in Otolaryngology
• Candidates must possess a minimum of 3 years post-Fellowship experience
• Candidates must be fully registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.

Job Description

• KASI Healthcare is looking for a Locum Public Health Consultant with Interest in Aviation Medicine to join our cohesive and enthusiastic team of consultants in diverse area of medicine.

Essential job functions include but are not limited to:

• Diagnose and treat aviation related diseases.
• Provides medical technical oversight to health care delivery personnel assigned to the Clinic to include advanced practice providers, allied health professionals, and enlisted medical specialists.
• Provides routine care for medical problems within scope of practice and scope of care for the Clinic.
• Performs aviation specific medical tasks, including (but not limited to) periodic physical exams, follow-up for health issues identified during Post-Deployment Health Reassessment, temporary and permanent profiles, fitness-for-duty evaluations, medical boards, flight physicals and aeromedical summaries.

• Develop strategies that can help lead to the implementation of programs that will prevent disease or promote good overall health in the community
• Consult with public health officials to develop legislation that focus on improving the health and wellbeing of entire communities
• Candidate will conduct training and community education development via all media of communications.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess MBBS, FWACS or its equivalent.
• Candidates most have a Fellowship in Occupational Health and Safety
• This position requires a medical license to practice in Nigeria or equivalent qualifications in a specialty related to environmental health, such as community medicine, occupational medicine, or infectious diseases.
• The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of post-graduate training in fields related to environmental health such as toxicology, epidemiology, risk assessment and control of environmental hazards coupled with practical experience in responding to environmental health issues and the development of policy to mitigate risks from environmental hazards.
• Comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of regulatory agencies, policies, legislation, and processes that govern and are otherwise relevant to environmental health in Nigeria is essential.
• Candidates must possess a minimum of 3 years post-Fellowship experience
• Candidates must be fully registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.

Essential Job Functions (include but are not limited to)

• Diagnoses and treats diseases and disorders of anus, rectum, and colon.
• Diagnoses diseases and disorders utilizing techniques, such as discussion of symptoms and medical history with patient, instrumental inspection of rectum and colon, examination of diagnostic images of affected parts, and evaluation of laboratory test results.
• Prescribe preoperative and postoperative treatments and procedures, such as sedatives, diets, antibiotics, and preparation and treatment of the patient’s operative area.
• To perform endoscopy of the rectum and colon, treat hemorrhoids, fistulas and fissures, inflammatory bowel disease, Crohn’s disease, polyps, benign tumors and colorectal and anal malignancies with laser technology and other surgical technique.
• The surgeon must be able to perform common bariatric surgery procedures like gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, adjustable gastric band, and biliopancreatic diversion with duodenal switch and assist with nutrition counseling, hernia repairs, and surgeries relating to cancer.
